Abut our letest propramme

Our village is a very poor area, economically, and educationaly. Because these reasons we started a new English program on behalf of our children. We organized a ceremony on behalf of this programme and it was a very valuble experience for the children. There are so many clever children in this rural area. But their English knowledge is poor. They have not enough English teachers and facilities. but they like to learn English. Our main plan is improve their English knowledge and go ahead with them. We thought this program will be a very useful thing for our futer generation. But we are also have many problems for conduct this programme. We must give some allowance for English teachers. But we are try to do that programme our level best. If some body can help for us we think that will be a good encourage for us.

About a new programme

We started a new English program. We spoke SHO members about English plan on 9^th July 2010. Not only that we took their ideas too. They like to join with us.  Mr. Ekanayake and United Pivithuru environment society officers  of Pitakumbura join with this class,  run by Self help organization . We hope to start this class within this month. We try to do it our level best.

Mr. Alfonso gave a dongle for our society. Because his donation now we can to use internet. Because this reason now we can sow our village situation, and other information’s. like this gift we were a huge encourage. About Mr. Alfonso introduced by Mr.Ekanayake. he is the computer teacher of Mo/Jayawardhana Atthanayake school in Pitakumbura. We understood Mr.Alfonso is a very kind and happy man. We admire about you.

Our temple

There is a Lempel called Weragodapudama so many persons says. It  is an ancient temple. It is famous temple now. If you come to that place you can see ancient symbols. It has beautiful back  ground. It is situated in top of the mountain. There are two villages around this temple on the other hand there is a beautiful river. there are  four monks here. But this is a very poor temple. That temple hasn’t water facilities, dwelling house, latrines, shrine, electricity, like that. According to this temple situated so many people come to the temple. We invite every body to come and see it. If you can help to this temple. That please help it.

Meeting

We will hope to conduit our SHO meeting at preschool in weddabandihinna on 29th May 2010 at 2.30 pm. We hope to discuss about following matters.

 Children education in our area.
 Sanitation faculties.
 Future programmers about facilities.

Our warmly welcome

Mr Noyel did very well his service in Bibile A.G.A. area. He will go to Padiyathalawa area. He involved building our SHO and CBO. As well as he was a power for us. Not only that he was a great teacher for people. Because transfer we a good instructor for us . But we must congratulation about Mr. Noyel new promotion.

About our village

Our village is situated near the Galoya national park. It is a very famous forest for herbal plant in Sri Lanka. As well as our Weddabandihinna village situated in Bibile A.G. division, Nilgala G.A. area. There are ten Kilometers to Bibile town from this village. If you need to see this village condition you must come firstly to Pitakumbura village. At that time there is a road infrontof Pitakumbura hospital. If you want to go to this village you should go by this way. In this village have sixty seven families and two fifty persons. There are fifty school children here. As well as 12 preschool children and three children don’t go to school. Not only that two illness children living here. This zone is a dry zone. 90% people cultivations china’s. That is the main in come way of these poor villages. They can’t to enter the forest to cultivate. Therefore their living conditions are ongoing badly. Under these situations child and youth educations is very weak level. Because economic problems preschool children don’t enter the preschools. But they like to study. They can’t fulfill that because their poor living condition. Among these persons so many elders can’t reading and writing ability. Not only that domestic violence and their family back ground are very bad some parents don’t like to appreciate their cleverness. Because they haven’t an English knowledge about it. As well as the biggest problems are they haven’t enough tables, chairs and other facilities to study of their houses. For that reason so many child don’t use their study. Among these poor child haven’t English knowledge. There is a one English teacher in our school. But the teacher can’t teach all classes in this school. We think our school hasn’t enough English teachers. Not only that the students can’t to take part to tuition classes because they are very poor. We think improve their English knowledge. Therefore they can’t find a good job. All these conditions they will be able to face so many problems in near future. Under these reasons our villages thought join with world vision organization and help this poor village. And to child give that good English knowledge. We hope your kind help.
